Student Support Groups

Sometimes it is good to talk to other young people. MASH & Peer Support are two important student led groups who work alongside deans and counsellors to support students in a number of ways

See below for more info:

MASH - Mentors Assisting Student Hauora

We are a group of year 12-13 students trained to listen and provide support around well-being.

COURAGE

MASH recognise well-being is something we all need to work on. It takes courage to acknowledge when you might need support.

COMPASSION

MASH understand it is normal to struggle, stress, bullying, friendship, all impact on us indifferent ways. Not coping is ok - we are here to listen.

CURIOSITY

We are trained to listen and be curious about what is happening for you and to be thinking about what you need.

COMMUNITY

Our main role is to walk alongside you to access support and take a next step for finding balance with your hauora.

Youthline & Aunty Dee (lots of good tips and advice)

Dont forget: We have trained, qualified counsellors available.

Get back to basics: Regular exercise, good sleep routine, eat-drink water and keep connections with things that matter to you. Everyones Hauora is different - but these are some basics for everyone.
