Committee

Be part of the Arts and Culture Committee

This committee has a reputation as the most vibrant, colourful and entertaining of all committees! Each year is packed full of opportunities, new experiences and new responsibilities.

The Arts and Cultural Committee is responsible for promoting and organising Arts & Cultural events within the school.

To become a member of this Committee you will have been elected as a leader of your focus area of Arts & Culture (e.g. Band Leader; Chinese Group Leader; Drama Leader).

You will need to be committed; available; prepared to take on responsibility; able to communicate with staff and students; able to budget effectively; enthusiastic; approachable and well organised.

Time involved:  Being an Arts and Cultural leader is a significant role and is time consuming. You are unlikely to have time to be in other committees beyond your area of leadership.

Meetings & Events: You must be available every Tuesday interval for Arts and Cultural meetings. A list of important dates will be given to you at the start of the year and you will need to make yourself available on these days (and evenings) to work as an Arts and Cultural Committee member.

Prefects: Two Arts & Cultural Prefects are selected after a Committee vote and interviews facilitated by the Arts & Cultural Coordinator. Their job is to lead the committee and represent Arts and Culture within the school and wider community. There are also two liaison prefects who will be the committee’s point of contact with the Head Girl and School Prefect team.
