Tongan Group
Epsom Girls Grammar School's Tongan Group is a culture rich group containing many girls who speak, dance and sing in Tongan or who are interested in learning the culture. The Group has been active for quite a while now and continues to enrich many young Tongan Ta'ahine here in Epsom. As Tongans there are 4 Golden Pillars that are instilled in the girls and we call them the faa'i kavei koula: Faka'apa'apa (Respect), Tauhi Va (Keeping relationships), Anga Fakatōkilalo (Humility) and Mamahi'i me'a (Loyalty and Passion for others). This is what makes up the Tongan Group.
