Touch Rugby

Touch Rugby is a fast-paced, non-contact team sport that emphasizes agility, strategy, and quick ball movement. It's played on a field similar to rugby's, but with fewer rules and no physical contact. EGGS enters teams at both a junior and premier level that compete during Term 1.

Key Dates/Information

Term 4 2024

Epsom Girls Grammar will be sending a team to NZSS Touch Nationals in December.

Students who are interested in being selected for this team are encouraged to attend training over the first four weeks of Term 4 (both senior and junior students are welcome). Teams will then be determined.

Trainings details; Mondays and Wednesdays, 3.30pm on EGGS Field 1

A weekly Strength & Conditioning session is also likely to be added to the training programme

Fees

Fees are approx. $70 per season.

Tournament entry will be charged in addition.

Uniform & Equipment Required

Players will compete wearing an EGGS touch singlet which is provided by the school at the start of the season.

Players will need to provide their own black shorts (without pockets), touch boots and a mouth guard.
