Touch Rugby

Touch Rugby is a fast-paced, non-contact team sport that emphasizes agility, strategy, and quick ball movement. It's played on a field similar to rugby's, but with fewer rules and no physical contact. EGGS enters teams at both a junior and premier level that compete during Term 1.

Term 4 2024

Epsom Girls Grammar will be sending a team to NZSS Touch Nationals in December. 


Trainings details; Mondays and Wednesdays, 3.30pm on EGGS Field 1

A weekly Strength & Conditioning session is also likely to be added to the training programme


Term 1 2025

Auckland Premier Touch Competition

Games: The Premier Team will play Monday's after school , starting 10 February. All other Senior Teams will play Tuesday's after school, starting 18 February

Fees

Fees are approx. $70 per season.

Tournament entry will be charged in addition.


Uniform & Equipment Required

Players will compete wearing an EGGS touch singlet which is provided by the school at the start of the season.

Players will need to provide their own black shorts (without pockets), touch boots and a mouth guard.
