Rock climbing is a growing sport and we a proud to have a group of students representing Epsom Girls Grammar School throughout the year.
We are hoping to grow this sport within our school and welcome all climbers, regardless of experience or ability, to try out this fun and challenging sport!

AUCKLAND REGIONAL COMPETITION
A big multi-day event open to all ages
30 January 2026 – Boulder
31 January 2026 – Lead
1 February 2026 – Top Rope

AUCKLAND COLLEGE CLIMBING SERIES
The Auckland College Climbing Series takes place over four dates at various climbing gyms in Auckland and includes bouldering and top rope competitions.
The entry fee includes harness and shoe hire, if required.
Round 1: Top rope at Extreme Edge – Sunday 29 March 2026
Round 2: Bouldering at Northern Rocks – Sunday 10 May 2026
Round 3 : Top rope at Vertical Adventures – Sunday 14 June 2026
Round 4 : Bouldering at Boulder Co – Sunday 16 August 2026
Fees are TBC but approximately $40 per event or $120 for the entire series
NZSS CLIMBING CUP
Monday 31st August - Tuesday 1st September 2026
Beta Climbing Gym, New Plymouth
Uniform & Equipment Required
Students will need to purchase an EGGS singlet or t-shirt from the School Uniform Shop to compete in.
Students will also need to supply their own black shorts or leggings.
NB: Harness and shoe hire are available at all competitions and are often included in the entry fee.
