Mountain Biking
Mountain biking is a sport of riding off-road bicycles, often over rough terrain. Mountain biking can generally be broken down into the following categories: cross country, all-mountain (also referred to as "Enduro") and downhill.
Key Season Dates & Information
Epsom Girls Grammar students have the opportunity to enter into a number of Mountain Biking events throughout the year. The majority of these take place in Terms 1, 2, and 3.
Due to the logistical difficulty of transporting bikes, it is important that students participating are accompanied by a parent of caregiver.

Fees
Fees are charged on a per-event basis and vary depending on location and duration of event. Entry into local Auckland events usually costs between $60-$80
Uniform & Equipment Required
Students will compete wearing an Epsom long sleeve that can be purchased from the Sports Office.
Students will also be required to provide their own bike, helmet and protective gear.
