Key Season Dates & Information

Epsom Girls Grammar students have the opportunity to enter into a number of Mountain Biking events throughout the year. The majority of these take place in Terms 1, 2, and 3.

Due to the logistical difficulty of transporting bikes, it is important that students participating  are accompanied by a parent of caregiver.

Auckland Schools Mountain Biking (AMBC) Cross Country (XC) Series:

Race 1 XCO - Sunday 30 March at Hunua Regional Park

Race 2 XCO - Sunday 11 May at Waitawa Regional Park

Race 3 XCO - Sunday 15 June at Slater Road (South Head – private farm)

Race 4 XCO - Sunday 17 August at Totara Park 

Race 5 XCO & XCR [Relay – Teams Event) - Sunday 17 September at Riverhead Forest (Barlow Road)

 Tamaki Makaurau Shredder Series 2025 (Enduro)

Race 1 - Saturday 8 February PCBC, Maraetai

Race 2 - Sunday 16 February Riverhead

Race 3 - Sunday 2 March 440 Mountain Bike Park

Auckland Schools Downhill Champs – hosted by AKDH 

Saturday 5th April at Dome Valley 

Fees

Fees are charged on a per-event basis and vary depending on location and duration of event. Entry into local Auckland events usually costs between $60-$80 

Uniform & Equipment Required

Students will compete wearing an Epsom long sleeve  that can be purchased from the Sports Office. 

Students will also  be required to provide their own bike, helmet and protective gear.
