Badminton is Epsom Girls Grammar School's most popular code with over 100 students actively participating and finding joy in the sport.
Badminton welcomes all students from year 9 to year 13, and everyone, regardless of skill level or experience, is able to join the Auckland Secondary Schools Badminton Competition in Terms Two and Three,
We are incredibly fortunate at Epsom Girls Grammar School to have a talented dedicated coach and a number of high performing athletes to mentor junior members of the team. Many of our players earned placings in the Auckland Secondary Schools Competition, our premier team finished second in Girls Division 1 at the 2024 Secondary School National Championships, and Olivia Yang was selected in the New Zealand Junior Team that competed in the 2024 World Junior Championships.

Epsom Girls Grammar School enters into the Central Auckland Badminton Competition
Open to Junior and Senior players
Trainings are held at Epsom Girls Grammar School
Games are played on weekday afternoons throughout Term 2 and Term 3 at various Auckland venues (specific day is dependent on your grade)
Students will play as part of a team of 6. All teams will need a parent or guardian to volunteer as Team Manager for the season.
Registration and Trials will commence at the end of Term 1 2025

*Nationals will be charged in addition to season fee and will vary depending on location
Uniform & Equipment Required
Students are required to wear black or blue shorts and an Epsom Girls Grammar T-Shirt that can be purchased from the Uniform Shop. Students attending regional or national tournaments will also need an Epsom Tracksuit.
