Yachting
Epsom Girls Grammar School has incredible pedigree in yachting with current student Nicola Hume finishing first female at the 2023 29er New Zealand National Championships and 12th overall at the 2024 Youth Sailing World Championships.
Whilst most yachting athletes also belong to external clubs, we encourage any student that is interested in representing Epsom Girls Grammar at regional and/or national regattas to get in touch with the Sports Office.
There are events on offer that cater for all sailing classes including 420, 29ers, Feva, Starling, Optimist, Laser Radial, Bic, IQ Foil, Wing Foil, P-Class and Hansa 303 (Para). The emphasis within school yachting is typically on teams racing (in 420 class yachts) so we welcome expressions of interest from groups of students as well.

Uniform & Equipment Required
Students will need their own boat as well as sailing gear such as wetsuit and lifejacket.
