Hockey
EGGS has a 1st XI hockey team plus multiple other junior and senior teams of various levels competing over the winter season. At EGGS, we are extremely fortunate to have Helen Clarke coaching our 1st XI team. Having captained the NZ Team and represented New Zealand at three Olympic Games, Helen brings a huge amount of experience and knowledge to our Hockey programme.
Key Season Dates & Information
2025 Winter Season
All Grades - divided into U15's and Over 15's
Game Day: U15's play on Tuesday afternoons, All other grades play on Thursday afternoons
Various Auckland Turfs
All teams will need a Parent Manager to support with game day supervision and logistics.
Registration and Trials will be during Term 1 2025

Upper North Island Girls Chica Gilmer Trophy
1st XI
25-29th August 2025
Fees
Season: $170-$375 depending on team
*Tournaments will be charged in addition to season fee
Uniform & Equipment Required
1st XI players will be provided with an Epsom Girls Grammar Hockey Dress for use during the season. All other teams will be provided with an Epsom Singlet and will need to purchase a blue hockey skirt from the School Uniform Shop.
All hockey players will need to provide their own socks, sticks, footwear, mouth guard and shin pads.
Goalkeepers must wear appropriate protective gear - this will be provided by the School.
Students attending tournament must also have an Epsom Tracksuit.
